Where is our attention

Where is our attention?

Is it at rest in the natural movement of being or is it constrained to attend to the thought we identify as giving us some measure of control over the movement of being?

In the latter, is a separation sense that disallows the comfort of resting in and AS being - excepting brief moments that are allowed - but always within a context of control that reinforces the mind that believes such control is both desirable and possible.

There is a tension of attention that makes a sense of opposition within itself.
Just as you cannot exert force to relax tense shoulders, so you cannot force reality to realign to your comfort- as you currently define and accept comfort.
Just as you can notice your shoulders are tense and simply relax those muscles in an instant, so you can notice the tension of attention and drop it immediately in terms of both desire and necessity.
Just as the outer symptom of a long held position of stress can take time to 'fall away' even when its core is released, so can the result of healed perception take time for health to reflect in form.
Attention is an instrument of being, naturally serving the function of being, at one with the flowing expression of the wholeness of being. Free to move its focus as love desire, in the extension and appreciation of love's ever new reality.
The apparent assertion of control is like an attempt to define and fix the Current of being to an assertion of desire that has no real basis - because it neither extends nor appreciates reality as it is.
To think unlike God is to deny our own being in preference for a game of imagined power in which we identify with loveless thought.
If you had the power to give yourself whatever you desire - and you have - then must you accept that only the wholeness of love can give you anything real - and so to desire as God moves you - is to release all notions of self attainment or self becoming and accept the current experience of being as the communication of the All in All.
If you are still thinking that thinking can follow me, then must this conversation 'die' to your desire.
But if you abide in the tension of attention while allowing the mind to rest, you 'Let Me be'.
The control that is the wisdom and guidance of discernment and love is never applied from a thought based assertion. But is the harmony and order arising from the spontaneous appreciation of Life as it is.
Love already knows its nature and its way. And it already knows the way of restoring you to your Self.
Understanding that the blocks are thought, and acceptance of fresh living Thought, is the way of coming to rest in wholeness regardless of outer appearance.
The surface mind can at any time reinstate its perspective as your own if you accept it, and from such perspective will all teaching or guidance seem as meaningless as is a mind locked in surface forms and self defined meanings.
If you would know peace, then it must become irrelevant to you. This is not something to do, but is a realisation of truth.
The nature of sin is false desire. Chasing things you thought you wanted. Running from things you thought you did not.
Truth seems to rise when we relax, just as armourings seem to fall off.
"Where is your attention?" is not a cause of judgement - but an invitation to release judgement - and rise in love.
