Master DK Monthly Lesson

Plane-to-Plane Memorandum

March 2010 Lesson

Date:February 28, 2010
Beloved Students:
I greet you this month in the powerful aftermath of the earthquake in Chile.  You will be getting this teaching a bit late, since I held off writing this memo, knowing there would likely be some big event prior to the close of February.  I wanted to see how the building tension of the planet would actually play out before communicating with you.
Those of you who are sensitive to the state of the planet may have even felt some “tremors” in your relationships, perhaps even in casual encounters with others.  While this latest occurrence of planetary tension release is clearly related to the recent earthquake in Haiti, we should not think that the first event “caused” the second event.  While earthquakes provide a viable release of tensions and pressures that arise within Earth’s body, there are other manners, as well by which such tension is released.
One of the main reasons for my delay in writing this lesson was because Chile was only one of the potential sites for Earth’s internal tension to be set free.  There were two others, both located in the northwestern U.S.  Had the tension been released in either of these two sites (likely either Mt. St. Helens or Mt. Shasta) the results would have been somewhat different, since both are old volcanoes.  As you know, Mt. St. Helens has provided release for Earth’s internal pressures in recent history.  Mt. Shasta, however, has not opened, as yet, in any way reflective of her ancient past.
I think you can appreciate the suddenness of the release yesterday.  While seismologists were expecting a reciprocal quake to the Haitian event, none saw this coming for Chile.  Likewise, the rumblings of Mt. St. Helens in recent days has been nothing of notable significance. Yet, with a single unbidden, unpredicted energetic expulsion, profound changes have exacted another terrifying toll for those living in the affected area.
Even though this month’s recorded lesson was completed some 10 days prior to the earthquake, I think you will recognize the pertinence of the theme (Purifying the Planetary View) in content, if not in title. In the recorded lecture, I draw your focus once again to the WE, in search of a deeper appreciation for the collective, planetary mind.  Clearly, it is only appropriate that Americans offer a strong response of generosity to the people of Chile at this time.
Americans (both individuals and aid organizations) tend to be quite generous to suffering people around the world, particularly in cataclysmic situations.    Such was (and continues to be) the case with the recent earthquake tragedy in Haiti.  Without forgetting the suffering Haitians, it is greatly important to focus also on the devastation in Chile.  This is true for a couple of reasons:  1. It is always good to join with other people around the world in the exercise of generosity.  2. Since this pressure release could have easily taken place in the continental U.S., it is particularly appropriate for Americans to offer help and support to their Chilean brothers and sisters.
As Earth regroups Her energies, tremors are likely to continue in the area for a several days.  This is a particularly good time to focus on any “tremors” you may have experienced in your own relations.  Rather than ignoring them and hoping they will simply disappear, draw your attention toward those with whom you have had little ruptures of goodwill, and as you do so, mentally dedicate the healing results to your sisters and brothers near Conception, Chile.  It is time to reach out to the entire world, offering the protective embrace of the WE.  While the arms of a single person are too short to create the needed planetary embrace, the arms of the WE are long enough and strong enough to provide planetary comfort and support.
In your contemplation time this month, peer deeply into your own capacity to embody and exemplify the WE, and dedicate your efforts to all the beings of Earth.  Consider all areas where you interact with other people, be they family, friends, partners or colleagues at work.  Clearly, the WE is all about relating, but it is also about how you perceive yourself as you relate to others.   How inclusive are you, really?  Pay particular attention to your personal thoughts, since those appear to be hidden from others.  Yet, as you reflect upon your own embodiment of the WE, your thought-field should provide ample ground for discovery.  How do you project the planet in your thoughts?  How much energy do you put into your relationship with Her?.  Even though you may have contemplated the WE previously, I hope you will find something new and gripping in your personal work this month.
Just how do you see the WE, anyway?  Does it appear to you as a collection of individual selves, or are you able to sense something vaster?  Let us here posit that a collection of selves is the “we,” while that vaster reality is the “WE.”  Of course, it is tempting to hold to the notions of the ego mind, those determined by the sense organs.  However, we must note that the sense organs can only attend to the “we,” since those specialized vehicles of perception are normally experienced in a separated fashion.  Thus, one recognizes that s/he sees, hears and smells, but does not think of these faculties as a single event.
It appears to most that the various types of consciousness associated with seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and feeling offer “proof” of the many, not the one.  However, when you considers per-ception as a whole, you can recognize that the individual faculties of perceiving meld together in the greater ocean of perception. In this vaster comprehension one begins to understand the pat-tern more fully. Indeed, when one truly comprehends the miracle of perception, those individual vehicles of perception can be seen as co-creators in a miraculous process.
In the recorded lesson this month, I offer an analogy between the human brain and something akin to it at a greater level, a kind of  “planetary brain.”  In this analogy, I draw a one-to-one correspondence between individual cells in the human brain and the individual consciousnesses in the planetary “brain.”  While I realize this analogy over simplifies the matter, I think it has value in under-standing the next step in consciousness for planetary citizens.
How differently might your relative level of effective brain function be if your individual brain cells had egos?   What do you think the net result might be if your individual brain cells polarized against one another?  Were that possible, one group of cells might think they were more valuable than, or superior to, other groups of cells.  In such a case, you might imagine one group of cells attempting to prevent another group of cells from multi-plying, or ”bearing offspring.”  One group might try to prevent another group from getting equal amounts of nutrients from the blood supply, or might inappropriately dump their toxins in such a way as to poison other cells.
Preposterous as all this sounds, these are all behaviors that have been played out over and over in the historical journey of humans on Earth.  In fact, many of these very dynamics continue to be perpetrated today.  Some groups of people tend to feel superior to others; some groups of people have tried (and are stilly trying) to prevent other groups from reproducing (a modern case might be found in the Chinese domination of Tibetans).  As you can see by witnessing world dynamics, some groups of people still have a tendency to take the best for themselves and leave their trash for others to address.  Do you recognize the patterns?
If Earth is a hologram, as many believe, then every modicum of Her history (or “herstory?”) is within you.  The upside here is that this fact indeed makes you the Earth.  The downside, perhaps, is that you have a considerable assignment to clean up the toxicity left from your days of lesser enlightenment.  Either way, I think you have your hands remarkably full.
Of course, how you take in this teaching will differ somewhat from person to person.  For some of you, what you may take away is that a large number of the pieces within the “we” are, appropriately enough, working to help other pieces of the “we.”  This is a good notion, one that will help you take your role as an Earthly sentient being more seriously.  For others, however, you may find this teaching open a provocative door to the “WE,” which is vaster than you can possibly imagine.  Either way, I think you have your hands remarkably full!
      Your loving Teacher,
